In
my family there are four of us: my papa, mama, me (I am
five), and my little brother Luis, who is two years old. My
papa is a garbage collector. My mama used to work in the
dump but now she takes care of Luis. Sometimes, when my
papa goes to work collecting garbage, I go with him. I
like going to work with my papa. My
home is right across the street from the school.
Sometimes there is a bad smell in the air in my colonia.
It comes from the garbage dump. Other times there is a
lot of black smoke because workers in the dump burn the
rubber off of wiring. I
am a little sick today but I am happy that I came to
school because my teacher Profe Felipe plays with me and
teaches me how to add.
